Important Parent Pick-Up Reminder: All parent pick-up must take place on Eastern Avenue after bus dismissal and before 4:00 pm (Mon-Thursday) or before 1:00 on Fridays. Parents in cars must wait behind the designated signs until all buses have departed before pulling forward for pick-up. For the safety of all students and staff, families must be in line going up Eastern Avenue to pick up their child(ren). Students are not allowed to cross the street to stopped cars that are holding up traffic.
Lottery Applications for the 2022-2023 School Year are now available! If you have a child or sibling that will turn five years old by August 31, 2022, please complete the attached form and return to the main office or go online at https://learningfirstcharter.org/admission/ . The application deadline is March 2, 2022. All applications require a birth certificate and two proofs of address. Reminder, a new application must be completed for any child that is on the current waitlist.

Looking For Volunteers for upcoming LFCPS 25th Anniversary Video: Are you a parent/caregiver of a current or recent LFCPS student that would be willing to share your positive experience here for our 25th Anniversary Video? Picture Day: Picture Day is October 25th. Parents can pay online two weeks prior to picture day. Flyers will go home closer to the date with a prepaid code that parents can use. Online prepaid orders will be open until midnight the day of picture day. 3-5 weeks after picture day, each student will receive an individual password where they can purchase online. Message from the Nurse: Just a friendly reminder that allergy season is among us. If your child has seasonal allergies please give them medication at home, as we do not provide it at school. Also, please continue to send in physical forms and remember to send your child with a mask each day. Have a wonderful weekend!
SEMSAPAC: Hello family and friends we will be hosting our first SEMSAPAC meeting of the year. We will have an informational workshop on student services and parental Rights and Responsibilities on September 30, 2021 from 4:00- 5:30. Come and be informed we welcome all questions and concerns. Grade 8 Families: Hello 8th grade families! I can’t wait to get to work with all of you and your children in planning their next steps after graduation! Believe it or not, it’s going to be here fast and high schools are already preparing for your soon to be freshman!! I will be including information in the newsletters, through emails, and dojo messages for you all year long. So please make sure you are checking in all of these places and please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions. I will be sending out both written materials and videos for you to prepare you for your transition to high school. I am happy to make appointments with you now that we can meet in person and you can always call or we can set up virtual meetings as well.

Community Connections: Does your child love to sing? Worcester Children’s Chorus is schedule in-person auditions for youths ages 8-18. Please go to worcesterchildrenschorus.org to make an appointment.

St Peters Youth Basketball Program registration is open.

Since there was no program last year due to Covid-19, every player must attend a tryout this season. Therefore we will have these dates and times for tryouts/ player evaluations:
Saturday Oct 16th:
9:00-10:00am (for all 7-8-9 year old boys & girls)
10:30-11:30am (for all 10-11-12 year old boys)
Noon-1:00pm (for all 10-11-12 year old girls)
1:30-2:30pm (for all 13-14-15 year old boys and girls)
Instructional Program for boys & girls ages 5 & 6 (as of 12/31/2021)
60 minutes of basic basketball skills development beginning Saturday December 4th at noon and continuing Dec 11th, 18th, Jan 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th and Feb 5th

Players ages 7-15 will have team practices (one day a week) starting the first week of November and continue for 3 weeks, with games beginning Saturday Nov 27th or Saturday December 4th TBD
Games will run on Saturdays (possibly Sunday’s as well depending on number of teams), times will be announced after the completion of registrations.
