Dear Families,

Learning First Charter Public School’s Superintendent, Leo Flanagan, will be holding several virtual “Town Halls” to meet with families to discuss what our anticipated return to school on March 15, 2021 will look like if health and safety data allows for a safe return.  Information will be provided to help parents determine if a hybrid or remote model is best for their family.  We would like to invite parents to join us to ask questions and give valuable feedback.

The Town Halls will be held on Tuesday, January 19th at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, January 20th at 12:00 PM and Wednesday, January 20th at 7:00 PM. Please visit our home page at learningfirstcharter.org where we will post a prominent link to the Town Hall Google Meets.

We look forward to seeing you all there!

P-EBT UPDATE: The Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) is working with their Technology Department to correct the “glitch” that caused our families to not be funded in the last round of P-EBT for October and November. The DTA is confident that this should be resolved by the next round of P-EBT and will go on the EBT cards along with December’s funds. Families should receive this no later than January 25th. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

For the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year, each month DESE will collect the data on the students who are eligible for P-EBT benefits during the prior month.  The school will submit the data on the 10th of each month and the DTA will use this data to issue benefits to families on the 25th of each month.

For questions related to P-EBT card status and activation go to https://www.map-ebt.org/

For questions related to lost P-EBT cards go to https://dtaconnect.eohhs.mass.gov/pebt

~Martin Luther King Jr. Quotes~

“I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear.”

“The time is always right to do what is right.”

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.

“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character”

“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.”

“The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character – that is the goal of true education.”
