Hello Families!
We hope you enjoyed some extra time off last week and stepped away from technology for a bit.
Thank you to those of you that were able to attend the Special Area showcase last Tuesday! It was great to see our community come together to celebrate the hard work scholars have been putting in during Specials! If you were not able to attend, the slideshow has been posted to Dojo. You can only view it using your students’ school email in an effort to keep it private to just the Learning First community.
You should be receiving your child’s first trimester SLC before the Holiday Break in the mail. If you have recently moved or need to update your address please call Ms. Sally in the main office. When you receive SLC take some time to review it with your child and talk to them about places that they felt successful and areas they can improve.
This week started trimester two. Teachers have planned some exciting lessons before the Holiday break that will be intriguing for students! This is a great time to get organized and create schedules so your student stays on track and up to date with independent class work. As a parent, make it a goal to check Google classroom every week for “Missing Assignments” as well as reviewing any graded work. The more we work together the more successful your scholar will be!
As always, if you have questions or concerns, please reach out to us.

All Kindergarten, grade 3 and grade 7 students must have an updated physical and immunizations on file.
All physicals and immunization records must be fax sent to the school nurse Sarah Chysna, at schysna@learningfirstcharter.org or fax t0 (508) 753-9679.Any doctor note that excuses an absence should be emailed to Ms. Burgos at jburgos@learningfirstcharter.org.

Community Connections: This is the section where we like to put fun, family-friendly, local events and community resources available to families. It has been harder to find entertaining, but safe, family outdoor activities to recommend to our families due to COVID-19. If you have any fun games or inexpensive craft ideas or know of any resources that can assist families in need that you would like to share with other families, please email me at sustaitis@learningfirstcharter.org.
