Reminder: There is no school next week, April 19th– 23rd.
Families,
With next week being vacation, please remember the quarantine rules for traveling outside of Massachusetts. If you need to quarantine following April vacation, please let your child’s teacher know so they can prepare for your child to be remote until the end of your quarantine. Thank you for your understanding in this matter. Working together we can keep our school community safe!
- Traveling out of Massachusetts
- Quarantine for 10 days or produce a negative COVID-19 test result that has been administered up to 72-hours prior to your arrival in Massachusetts. If not obtained before entry to Massachusetts, a test may be obtained after arrival.
- International Travel:
- All international travelers must quarantine for 10 days unless they can provide proof of a negative test result that meets the criteria stated above or they are covered by one of the other, limited exceptions.
- 72-hour Testing Rule:
- The individual can produce a negative COVID-19 test result that has been administered up to 72-hours prior to your arrival in Massachusetts. If not obtained before entry to Massachusetts, a test may be obtained after arrival; however all such arriving travelers must immediately begin the 10-day quarantine until a negative test result has been received.

Message from the Nurse: This week we had 1 positive case of Covid-19 in school. Anyone that is considered a close contact has been notified. Please remember to keep your child home if they are experiencing any sickness and/ or fever. If you have any questions please feel free to contact myself or Samantha Roy at 508-799-8500 ext 1131. Parent Pick-Up: Just a reminder, parents must park on the school side of Eastern Ave. All parents must remain in their vehicle. A staff member will call your child out when you reach the front of the line.
Bus Registration: Bus routes are created by the Worcester Public School’s Transportation Department based on the information provided by families when registering. We are still waiting for a response from the Transportation Department as to when families that registered after March 22nd will have their child’s name added to the bus list. When we receive this information the Main Office will call the families that are added and provide you with your child’s bus stop information.
Anyone that needs bus transportation but has not submitted the online registration form should do so as soon as possible.

4) You will need to complete this process for each LFCPS student in your household.

Food Service: Breakfast and Lunch is available to all in-person students at no cost.
Bulk meal pick up will be available for remote learning students until the end of the year.
Bulk meal pick up is available for Remote students only on Wednesdays from 4pm-5:30pm.

Kindergarten Registration: Any family that has received an acceptance letter for Kindergarten for the 2021-2022 school year should contact Sally Ustaitis at (508)799-7500 x1031 to schedule an appointment to register.
Late Lottery Applications: We are now accepting applications for our late lottery held in June. All applications will be for the 2021-2022 school year. If you missed the first lottery, please be sure to go online to https://learningfirstcharter.org/admission/ and submit an application. Please contact Sally Ustaitis at (508)799-7500 x1031 if you have any questions.
Student Support Department: IMPORTANT, throughout the school year the Student Support Departmentmay be emailing/mailing documents such as IEP’s, Evaluation Consents & 504 documents to parents labeled Frontline. When these documents are received the parent/guardian must read, sign and submit the documents online or by mail or contact Learning First with any questions or concerns. If you have questions, please contact the Student Support Administrative AssistantMs. Andino atcandino@learningfirstcharter.orgor leave a message with the main office at 508-799-7500.
8th Grade Families: This is the time you will start hearing from Worcester Public’s Career Pathway Programs and Worcester Technical High School about whether or not your child was accepted or has been placed on a waiting list. Once you hear back please contact Mrs. Moore and let her know of your child’s decision and we will plan next steps. For students planning to attend their district public high school…good news! The online enrollment portal is open! If you click the link below it will take you right to it and you can follow the directions to get to the Google form. PLEASE follow all of the directions and you will need copies of the documents they ask for when enrolling. We will send the rest.

Also, there is a cell phone number for Spanish speaking families: 774-502-0952. Students on an IEP and/or receiving EL (MSA) services should register at the office and bring copies of their ed plans.
Once we know of your plans we can start the process of forwarding records for a smooth transition to high school for your child!
