Newsletter September 9, 2022

Dear Caregivers,

We have adjusted our parent pick-up process to ensure a safe transition. All caregivers are asked to wait in their vehicles in a line heading up Eastern Ave on the school side of the building. You should not park on the opposite side of the street and walk down to the school to wait. Doing this causes a traffic jam for caregivers who are waiting to pull away and blocks cars parked along the stone wall.

Students will wait in the building to be called out to Eastern Ave in the order of the vehicles that are in line. We understand that this may take a little longer but it is safer than crossing the street or having students run excitedly to a familiar face that is standing on the sidewalk. If you are a caregiver who walks up to Eastern Ave because you live within close proximity please stand away from the main doors and wait for a staff member to come get your student(s) names. This will be done once we have decreased the number of vehicles waiting in line. Thank you in advance for adhering to this procedure and supporting the safety of all LF students and the staff.

If you would like to hear more about the Walker process please contact the Main Office and they can fill you in.
